Welcome to Norman Village Montessori School
Norman Village Montessori preschool was established as a preschool program and licensed under the Day Nursery Act in 1998. Our program offers full daycare while guiding our students in their discovery of lifetime learning, self-confidence building, initiative and social consciousness in a safe learning environment.
Our school offers children ages 2.5 years up to and including the senior kindergarten year an enriched educational foundation based on the love of learning; the ability to adapt to change; the mastery of skills; the building of self-confidence; and the respect for oneself, others, and the environment. We provide our students with the tools and experiences necessary to ignite their imagination and curiosity for learning using the time-tested Montessori approach to education. This approach, adapted for the modern family, emphasizes small class sizes, high teacher to student ratios (1:8), individual attention, and a safe environment to explore and discover.
The Montessori method of teaching builds a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy as students manipulate a broad array of specially designed concrete learning materials under the direction of Montessori-trained teachers. The children participate in real world environments and experiences in a safe and ordered environment where they can experience much more than a conventional daycare or school offers.
You can read more about our Montessori program and it's success here.
Norman Village families enter into an educational and community partnership with dedicated educators who are on your side, supporting your child’s academics, athletics, creativity and confidence. By incorporating the the Montessori educational materials and learning/teaching philosophy into our curriculum, we offer children the best of learning for today and tomorrow.
Please phone or email the school to ask for our Parent Handbook to begin the registration process. The Director will then ask that you read the handbook and will correspond by email in an effort to answer any questions about our program and specifics with regard to fees, hours of operation and space available for the coming school year.
