There is much research supporting the best possible outcomes for children of Montessori schools!  We will be getting the word out soon to our Kenora Montessori community so all have the opportunity to endorse the success of our program.  


We knew during our first visit that the Norman Village Montessori School program and its environment would strongly support and encourage our child’s development in many areas.  The program offered quality care in a safe environment combined with excellent learning opportunities.  Within only a few weeks of enrolment into the program, our child began to demonstrate to us at home many independent learning activities including the desire to read and write and understand her world surroundings.  This evidence reinforced our commitment to enrol her up to grade one to best support her evolved learning.  She impresses us often with her knowledge gained through the school – in fact she challenges us in areas of our own understanding of the world around us!  She is a critical thinker already!  Our daughter adapted quickly and easily to the environment at the early age of three attending full time five days a week.  She has established strong relationships with her student peers, and is so very fond of her teachers.  She has enjoyed the school’s unique curriculum while also enjoying the many life skill activities offered and of course the great field trips – all of which parents are encouraged to participate.  Now almost six years old, our daughter has gained significant self confidence, demonstrates respect for others, is self-motivated in many activities often preferring to read books, practice her writing and math skills and developing her artistic abilities for which the program has always encouraged. We love the planned Pajama Nights hosted several times throughout the school year – it is an opportunity for our daughter to demonstrate to us how she learns in her Montessori environment.  It is often a remarkable evening for us as parents!  We have also enjoyed the benefits of the summer program offered and what kid doesn’t enjoy beach days!  We strongly believe that the Montessori method of teaching has best prepared our daughter for her entry into the public education system through the practical application of life skills, sensorial, language, math, cultural and scientific cooperative learning.  Equally as important, the Montessori curriculum and learning experience has reinforced our family values, enriched our child’s life, and we are confident that it has set the stage for successful life long learning sparked by her own imagination and curiosity.    Without hesitation, as parents, we highly recommend the Norman Village Montessori School Program for the best start in a child’s early formative years!  It is well worth the experience and investment!
